Total IGR for States Drops from N707.8bn in 2014 to N683.6bn in 2015

NBS publishes States Internally Generated Revenue for 2015. Total internally generated revenue for the 36 states dropped from N707.8bn in 2014 to N683.6bn in 2015. Note Ebonyi 2015 figure not included

23 states post IGR in 2015 less than 2014 while 12 post IGR in 2015 higher than 2014. Last State Ebonyi is yet to report.

States with higher IGR in 2015 than 2014 are Ogun, Edo,Anambra, Abia, Kogi, Sokoto,Niger,Bauchi, Nasarawa, Taraba, and Borno. Yobe, Zamfara, Ekiti, Borno, Kebbi, Taraba, Nasarawa, Adamawa, and Gombe posted the lowest IGR in 2015. Biggest year on year drop in IGR was posted in Kwara (-73.57%), Imo (-48.30%) and Yobe (-36.63%)

Despite having the top three IGR in 2015 Lagos-N268.2bn, Rivers-N82.1bn and Delta-N40.8bn all declined by 2.96%, 8.54% & 4.93% respectively. Highest year on year rise in IGR was posted in Ogun (49.42%), Anambra (29.32%), Edo (10.95%).
