Nigeria’s Private sector Policy Think-Thank the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, NESG, yesterday unveiled its new logo and corporate identity, at its Head office in Lagos.
According to NESG executives it marks a paradigm shift with the new logo depicting a change from a locally-inspired square green background to a global iconic blue background.
At the event
the Chairman of the Board of the NESG Mr Asue Ighodalo informed stakeholders
that since 1993, the Think-Thank have hosted 24 summits shaping the
economic policies of the country, and promoting reforms in the country.
He noted that the NESG has promoted six (6) foundational principles namely;
The rebranding according to him marked a change for the NESG, capturing the evolution from an ad-hoc platform founded by top private sector participants, to a think-tank that has consistently promoted changes through economic discourse
Giving insight into the critical interventions and impact of the think-thank on the Nigerian political-economy, the CEO of NESG Mr Laoye Jaiyeola listed the following;

Anniversary of the NESG, Mr Niyi Yusuf also listed additional areas that has
been impacted by the group to include;
On the new brand and logo the Chairman, Publicity Committee for the NESG Mr Udeme Ufot asserted that it represents the values of sustainable economic growth, innovation and globalization.
The blue
crest standing for Nigeria’s space in the global economy, and the arrow in the
typography which represents the trajectory that the Nigerian economy needs to
attain for the survival and happiness of its citizens.
