RAY
ECHEBIRI is a
consummate financial journalist, development economist and author. He is
currently the Chief Executive Officer of Centre for Financial Journalism, and
publisher of NextMoney magazine.
Before
founding Centre for Financial Journalism and NexMoney magazine, Ray had edited
a number of titles, including Business Champion and Financial Standard
newspapers.
A
widely-travelled journalist, Ray has covered many high profile local and
international events.
Beyond
helping to shape public policy through his informed reports and opinion articles,
Ray has participated in many conferences and seminars that produced potent
strategies for achieving fast-paced growth for Nigeria's economy.
Ray had the
uncommon privilege of studying for both first and post graduate degrees on
scholarship. He studied at the University of Calabar, Nigeria, as a Mobil
scholar and at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, United Kingdom, as a
British Chevening scholar.
