The Nigeria Economic Summit Group, NESG has announced that its 25th summit will hold between October 7th and 8th, 2019.
The Theme of the NESG Summit is “Nigeria 2050: Shifting Gears” and is scheduled to hold at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja, Nigeria.
Speaking at a press conference recently the Vice Chairman of the NESG Mr. Niyi Yusuf said the 25th Summit would focus on job creation, growth of the SME sector while encouraging sustainable growth and development aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
It will also feature a session for the youth that will serve as an opportunity to galvanize them to prepare and take over the leadership and management of the economy and the affairs of the NESG by 2050.
In the course of the two-day conference, speakers will come from across both the public and private sector. It will attract members of the National Assembly, Corporate Nigeria and Business leaders.
Also, the conference will have guest speakers from two of the leading global economies; the United States and China, who will be sharing insights on how Nigeria can achieve sustainable development, through long-term economic planning.
NESG after its summit plans to tour 25 cities and hold discussions with students around the country, deliberating on the topic of nation-building.
As part of the 25th summit, ten startups will pitch their business ideas to a panel, with a winner announced on the 8th of October, 2019.
The NESG also plans to give awards to serving employees of the organization who have distinguished themselves.
