The
Medium Term
Framework for 2018 to 2020 was recently made available by the
Budget Office. In line with the earlier expenditure switch policy, the Federal
Government intends to maintain an average of 7.2% growth in expenditure over
the period. At the same time ensuring budget deficit to GDP is
below 3%, underlining the importance to remain within acceptable bands.

In
the week ahead, the Central Bank
will auction 91 days, 182 days and 364 days treasury bills worth
N100.84billion. Certainly the market appetite will be sustained as it provides
opportunity for cash replenishing. The maturity of commercial
instruments in the week will worth the same value which will dampen the effect
in the money market.
