Business Tips For Nigerian Entrepreneurs by Folorunso Alakija

Nigerian Billionaire and Executive Vice Chairman Famfa Oil Limited, Mrs.Folorunso Alakija, recently shared tips on attaining success as an entrepreneur.

It was an opportunity to inspire and encourage Nigerian entrepreneurs on maximizing their potentials to make impact.

The Industrialist and business leader  used the occasion to give advice on the  do’s and don’ts in business.

Alakija is involved in several businesses which span oil exploration, printing, fashion and real estate.

Providing her perspective on investing in Nigeria, she was of the belief that God has blessed Nigeria with so many resources, both natural and human.

She stated that business opportunities abound everywhere in the country. However it takes the astute investor to identify these opportunities and utilize them properly.

As a member of the Advisory Council of Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, she said the platform serves the purpose of assisting strategic partners in attracting high quality trade and investment opportunities.

Alakija also said there is a strategy for promotion of intra-commonwealth trade and investments in the agency.

Quoting Alhaji AlikoDangote, Folorunso Alakija said    “Nigeria is really the best place to invest, it is one of the few good places to make money in the world, Nigeria is world’s best kept investment secret”.

She advises individuals to have strong hunger for success as there is always a way where there is a fighting will and only the persistent find it.

Alakija charged young entrepreneurs not to give up, but remain resolute, unflinching and focused on their businesses.

She gave further insights  into her business  principles encapsulated in the word “SUCCESS”.
