Mr Gbenga Oyebode, MFR Chairman Aluko & Oyebode law firm and Mrs Ibukun Awosika Chairman, First Bank Nigeria limited today graced the maiden business fair, powered by DIYLaw Technologies limited.
The business fair was designed by DIYLaw Technologies to help entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses that can attract investment and scale regionally and globally.
In her opening remarks the Co-founder and CEO of DIYLaw Odunoluwa Longe shared that the mandate of the company was to create access to legal services for entrepreneurs.
“The Business of Business fair will help entrepreneurs to build their business processes in a sustainable manner” Longe said.
In the special session Mrs Ibukun Awosika charged the entrepreneurs to be strategically minded and understand that some hard decisions have to be taken, to advance their businesses.
According to her those who approach their jobs with the mindset of an entrepreneur, will be outstanding in their fields of endeavour.
On his part Mr Gbenga Oyebode tasked MSMes
to dimension opportunities and identify gaps in the nation, that needs to be
addressed.
He called on young professionals to place high value on quality service and develop their core skills, which will give them competitive advantage in the business environment.
Mr Oyebode and Mrs Awosika both agreed that entrepreneurs in Nigeria must understand opportunities and timing, to make impact in the business environment.
The DIYLaw maiden business fair featured two panel sessions which focused on “Money and Funding” and “Innovation”.
Panelists at the “Money and Funding” session for MSMEs were Mr Akin Oyebode, Executive Secretary, Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, Mr Bola Monite, Firmus Capital, Ms Ife Durosinmi-Etti of Accessing Grants for Startups, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi, Fate Foundation and Mr Kola Aina, Ventures Platform.

who shared how they started their businesses and expanded them featured Noble
Igwe, CEO 360 Nobs.Com, Mr Peter Obadre, CEO Digital Encode, Mrs Obi Oragwu,
Wardrobe Merchant, Ms Affiong Williams of Reelfruit and Mrs Jane Maduegbuna of
Afrinolly.
