Market Commentary
The Interbank call rate advanced 243bps to settle at 11.43%.
Negative sentiment persisted in the secondary market, with average yields in the T-bills space advancing 37bps d/d, taking the week’s change to +131bps. Sell-offs were observed across the market, with notable yield advances on the 85DTM and 135DTM bills of 162bps and 130bps respectively, settling at 12.58% and 12.86% respectively. Bears dominated the bond space also, as benchmark yields advanced 15bps d/d and 33bps w/w. Sell-pressure dominated across the space, with the yield on the 12.50% FGN 22 JAN 2026 bond advancing 53bps d/d to settle at 14.04%.
Market Outlook

With a PMA scheduled for Wednesday and a truncated trading week, we expect yields to advance at a slower pace in the T-bills space. We also expect bond yields to continue to advance, as sentiment remains weak.
