AL-HAYAT Relief Foundation 6th NGM to Discuss Economic Growth and Development in Nigeria

AL-HAYAT Relief Foundation has announced that its 6th National General Meeting (NGM) will hold on Sunday the 5th of September, 2021.


According to the National Executive Council of the Foundation, the NGM will discuss the theme "The Role of Islamic Cooperative Societies in the Economic Growth and Development in Nigeria".


The foundation which has 20,500 members across Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Osun, and Kwara States, with its headquarters at Al-Hayat House, 33, Old Lagos/Benin Road, Obalende, Ijebu-Ode has as its following objectives ;

  • Championing the course of the Islamic economic system
  • Giving out financial relief to registered members on interest-free basis
  • Carrying out welfare services on members
  • Propagating the religion of Islam through dawah and financial assistance to the needy
  • Carrying out different schemes beneficial to members
  • Observing all the pillars of Islam


It will have as Chairman of the Day Professor Lai Olurode of the Department of Sociology, University of Lagos while Professor Abdul-Razzaq A. Alaro a scholar of Islamic Law at the University of Ilorin, will be the guest speaker.


 The event is scheduled to commence by 10.00am and will hold at the AL-HAYAT Golden Estate Iperin, Ibadan Road, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.


 AL-HAYAT Relief Foundation operates the following Islamic products and services which includes Takaful (Insurance), Murababaha (Cost-plus) and Qardah Hassan (Benevolent Loan). The Foundation also has other subsidiaries under its operations, these include, Directorate of Zakat, Sadaqah and Waqf, Al-Hayat Microfinance Bank Ltd, Al-Hayat Golden Estate, Yat Water and Al-Hayat Medical Centre.


 Dr. Asif O. Azeez the President of Al-Hayat Relief Foundation will be the Chief Host of the event, which will bring together stakeholders in the Nigerian non-interest finance ecosystem.
