Medview Airlines listing, adds N14.65bl to the NSE Market Capitalization

 The listing of one of the leading players in the Nigerian Aviation space, Medview Airlines has added a market capitalization worth N14.65bl to the Nigerian stock exchange. 

This was disclosed by the Chief Executive Officer of the exchange Mr. Oscar Onyema at the “Facts behind the listing”, after the official listing of the Medview Airlines into the main board, at the floor of the exchange. 

Medview Airlines achieved earlier the admission of N9.75bl worth of ordinary shares at the listing price  of N1.50 per share, which at the close of trading witnessed 3.3ml shares traded at N4.4ml. 

He commended Medview for the strategic step it took to join the prestigious club of quoted companies in the Nigerian stock exchange. 

Mr Onyema lauded the management of the airlines for its drive for excellence, professionalism, efficient service delivery and corporate governance. 

Alhaji Muneer Bankole CEO, Medview Airlines in his remarks commended the capital market for its remarkable role in catalyzing wealth creation in the country, and described the listing as a strategic step to create value in the market. 

Alhaji Bankole noted that Medview Airlines since its operations in 2oo4, has remained a focused, open, sincere and transparent brand in the Aviation Industry. 

In terms of revenue turnover, Alhaji Bankole said from a revenue base of N3.4bl in 2012, Medview Airlines experienced a surge of N25.8bl and was optimistic that through the listsing, it will bring value to its shareholders. 

According to him  “The Aviation sector is the safest, fastest and dynamic industry in the Transportation sector”, which is a good prospect for any investor. 

Minister of State, Aviation Senator Haidi Sirika at the listing ceremony, described the Medview Airlines listing as a great opportunity for the High Networth Individuals(HNI) and the low-income earners to invest and be part of the opportunities in the company. 

Senator Sirika described Medview Airlines as a brand that is bringing a good assurance of a bright future for the Aviation Industry in Nigeria.
