At the Pre-event session for the 2018 Africa Fintech Festival in Lagos, Inlak Nigeria Limited a leading ICT company in the country, hosted a pitch session for Fintech start-ups.
In his opening remarks the MD/CEO of Inlak Nigeria Mr Femi Adeoti shared that the company had evolved in last 35 years, as a key player in the digital finance space attaining a super-agent status in financial inclusion, providing currently 6,000 ATMs for the banking services.
Adeoti informed stakeholders that Inlaks had developed the “Hatch” incubator, which encourages innovation and entrepreneurs to be creative and serve as solution providers.
Mr Seun Folorunsho of Fintech Nigeria Association speaking at the event said the participating Startups , covered the lending, payments, agro, blockchain and cloud-based solutions firms amongst others.
The Executive Director Oatar Development Bank Mr Ibrahim Hassan giving his remarks asserted that the Oil-producing nation, was positioning itself to be a major fintech hub in the globe.
Mr Hassan believed attending the Africa Fintech Festival, provided opportunities for cross-border partnerships between Qatar and Africa, in the Fintech industry.
