Global Fintech Association Endorses 1st Fintech Nigeria Forum for April 2017

The Global Fintech Association (GFA) has endorsed and encouraged members to attend the “Fintech Nigeria Forum 2017” holding on April 24, 2017, in Lagos, Nigeria and jointly organized by Canada’s Digital Finance Institute and Nigeria’s FinTech Associates.

The “Fintech Nigeria Forum 2017”  will serve as the first National Conference on FinTech, artificial intelligence, deep learning, financial inclusion and Blockchain and will also feature a Startup Pitch Challenge and serve as the launch of Code Nigeria, an initiative to formalize coding education across Nigeria to empower Nigerian youth.

In a letter dated March 09, 2017, The GFA said “We are committed to providing our support to the summit and believe delegates will find the first Nigera FinTech forum to be very informative; delegates will be offered a great opportunity to communicate with renowned industry experts and foster relationships”.

In the comments by both the Chairman and Board member, the GFA said they were  “ pleased to welcome members to the FinTech Nigeria Forum, the first national Nigerian FinTech conference, the finance industry has been strongly affected by the use of new technologies, technologies such as artificial intelligence, Blockchain and big data analysis, have altered the ways of doing business. This phenomenon has taken hold of globally as well as in Nigeria. Venture capital investment in fintech has been taking off over the past years, also in Nigeria. On accounts of these developments, the Nigeria FinTech forum on April 24 in Lagos will shed light on Nigeria’s leading FinTech position in Africa, financial inclusion and the impact of new technologies such as Blockchain. The forum will gather representatives of leading financial and technology companies, as well as industry analyst and experts, to exchange ideas on important issues to financial technology”.


 

FinTech Nigeria caters to FinTechs, venture capitalists, private equity funds, government agencies, lawyers, regulators, innovators, professional associations, researchers, and financial institutions.
