The Digital Finance Institute, a digital finance think tank based in Canada and FinTech Associates, a Nigerian FinTech solution provider are holding “FinTech Nigeria Forum”, Nigeria’s 1st National Conference on FinTech, artificial intelligence, deep learning, financial inclusion and Blockchain on April 24, 2017, in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Conference will also feature a Startup Pitch Challenge and serve as the launch of Code Nigeria, an initiative to formalize coding education across Nigeria to empower Nigeria’s youth.

“All eyes are on Nigeria to lead the way in digital innovation to address challenges faced by the continent and bring about development and prosperity,” said Detan Akinhanmi, Knowledge Events Director of Fintech Associates. “FinTech Nigeria Forum will serve as an annual hub and marketplace to aggregate budding FinTech talent, investors and other stakeholders and find digital solutions to bring financial services to millions of underserved populations in Nigeria and indeed Africa.”

“We’re very proud to help build Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem with this conference,” said Christine Duhaime, the Executive Director and Founder of the Digital Finance Institute. “Having a supportive, inclusive and collaborative environment for startups, innovators, banks and regulators is critical to driving investment here and an innovation agenda. It’s also critical to help leverage technology to solve Nigerian financial inclusion issues and to address broad economic inclusion initiatives as well.”

“Nigeria is Africa’s largest country, largest economy and most populous nation. The opportunities are enormous and we are excited to also launch Code Nigeria with FinTech Associates, and a startup challenge to engage the young people in Nigeria in inclusive innovation.”

FinTech Nigeria will cover a range of topics from FinTech, bank innovation, Blockchain, payments, RegTech, financial inclusion, artificial intelligence and deep learning. It caters to FinTechs, venture capitalists, private equity funds, government agencies, lawyers, regulators, innovators, professional associations, researchers, and financial institutions.
