High Court orders bench warrant on Innoson CEO

The  High Court in Ikeja, Lagos has issued a bench warrant of arrest for the CEO of Innoson Motors Dr Innocent Chukwuma for failing to appear again before the court, over the criminal matter raised against by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC), due to the face off with Guaranty Trust Bank. 

Giving the ruling Justice Mojisola Dada ordered that the CEO of Innoson should be produced in the next adjournment, for arraignment over the alleged forgery case. 

Justice Dada also ordered that Mr Chukwuma should be kept in custody a day before the next adjournment.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in December last year filed four charges against the C.E.O of Innosons Motors and others at the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja.

In the letter by the Head of Legal and Prosecution for the EFCC, A.B.C. Ozioko, dated November 30, the commission noted that the four charges were bordering on conspiracy to obtain property by false pretence, obtaining property by false pretence, stealing and forgery.

The High Court, Ikeja has adjourned the case till March 14, 2018.
