Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (referred to as "Flour Mills" or "FMN"), Nigeria's leading integrated food business and agro-allied Group, owners of the iconic food brand Golden Penny, has announced the resignation of Mr Atedo N. A. Peterside, who served as a Non-Executive Director on our Board. His resignation from the Board is effective 31st March 2020 and have been accepted on behalf of the Board by the Chairman, Mr John Coumantaros.
Mr Peterside informed that his reasons for resigning include his intention to focus considerable and more deliberate attention on the fight against COVID-19. Having set up the "ANAP FOUNDATION COVID-19 THINK TANK", Mr Peterside wishes to personally lead the work of the Foundation which would make it difficult for him to adequately represent the interests of the minority shareholders on the Board of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc.
Mr. Atedo N. A. Peterside, CON was appointed to the Board of Flour Mills of Nigeria Pic on the 10th of March, 2010.
While we received the news with great sadness, the Board, Executives and entire staff of FMN are tremendously proud of Mr Peterside's decision to stand up for the Nigerian people in the face of these extraordinary circumstances.
