Every year, Nigeria and the world at large anticipate
the "Nigeria Fintech Week" - a week-long event that contains a series of events
and activities set to critically examine & develop the fintech ecosystem.
The event organised by Fintech Association Nigeria seeks to discover fintech
solutions that can transform interfacing sectors of the economy.
This year's event themed "Evolving Economic
Disruption: Fintech as a Solution" aims to unearth the paradigm shift in
innovation and the new waves of digital and financial disruptions and solutions
to rescue economies of the developing countries.
The 5-day event will cover discussions on Fintech in
peripheral sectors such as health, agriculture, education, e-commerce, etc.
The event will also feature a number of prominent
speakers like Matt Flannery (CEO/Co-founder, Branch International),
Patrick Akinwuntan (MD, Regional Executive, Ecobank Nigeria) and Richie
Santosdiaz (Head of MEA, The Fintech Times UK & Head of Strategy, RISE).
Unfortunately, following the current pandemic, the
event would be hosted virtually from October 5 - 10, 2020.
