The Partnership has resulted in theformal launch of the HCG Certifications programme at the Phillips Consulting Head Office in Marina, Lagos.
Giving the opening remarks Mr Paul Ayim, Senior Partner, People Transformation for Phillips Consulting said the partnership was an opportunity to provide more dynamic learning practices and expand the frontiers of tech consulting for the Human Resources Industry.
Considering the importance of HR in the area of organizational efficiency, Mr Ayim believed the launch of the HGC Certification programme, will further expose Nigeria to Global best practices and standards in the HR industry.
According to Ayim, Human Capital Growth Inc with its wealth of experience globally was offering “Evidence Based Specialized and Integrated Global HR Certifications in Nigeria”.
Speaking further, Ayim stressed that the objective of the partnership, was to reposition the HR departments and consulting firms to be more impactful to businesses in Nigeria.
“The PCL partnership with HCG is an interesting one. One that will bring a lot of interesting things for HR businesses and departments in Nigeria”. Ayim said.
Dr. Shreya Sarka-Barney, Founder and CEO of the Human Capital Growth Inc, speaking on the Global HR Certification launch said it was a milestone with HCG making its debut in Africa, courtesy Phillips Consulting.
Sarka-Barney said that since inception Human Capital Growth Inc. has stayed focused on “Talent Management Excellence” and “Leadership Excellence” in the HR space.
According to her HCG assists companies in achieving better outcomes through talent, using science, analytics and empathy.
She said through the Global HR certification, the Human Resources industry was set to receive a boost in Human capital, productivity, employee engagement and employee well-being which is vital to the business environment and economy.
Giving further insights Sarka-Barney emphasised the fact that HCG has developed 17 talent management practice areas, that have evidence based blue prints.

Speaking further in an interview with Proshare WebTV, the MD of Phillips Consulting Mr Robert Taiwo said “The partnership gives us the opportunity to move the needle, because one thing that people don’t understand is the complexity of talent management in Sub-Saharan Africa and Nigeria. This gives an opportunity to bring evidence-based learning, giving us an opportunity to tackle the complexities”
