Investment magnate and two time Gubernatorial candidate in Ogun state, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, has congratulated former President Olusegun Obasanjo for successfully bagging a Doctorate Degree (Ph.D) from the National Open University.

Isiaka, a First Class graduate from the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) noted that Baba Obasanjo's knack for acquiring knowledge stands him out among true African statesmen.

He described the achievement as no mean feat because it is rare to see any African at Obasanjo's age and social status to submit himself to the theoretical and empirical rigours required to attain that level of academic prowess.

The Promoter of The Believe Movement (TBM), a sociopolitical mass movement said, "Our generation should be proud of an enigma like Chief Obasanjo whose life is an open book. If as an Octogenarian, he can still be acquiring knowledge and academic garlands, then he has sent a clear message to all of us that age should not be a barrier to go to school and learn more.

Continuing, "Besides, Baba is telling us with this achievement to take the issue of education very seriously in Nigeria and especially in Ogun State where he comes from. That is why development of human capital is one of the cardinal programmes I will pursue in government from 2019, God willing".

The gubernatorial hopeful further stated, "At this moment, when the quest to acquire quick wealth instead of knowledge has become a norm in our society, I urge our youths to learn from Baba and know that there is no alternative to knowledge as a guarantee for sustainable success".

He prayed God to grant Dr Olusegun Obasanjo long life and good health to continue to play his fatherly role to Nigeria, Africa and the world in general.
