Sesame seeds is now becoming a globally widely consumed commodity. Nigeria is the second largest producer in SSA and 4th in the world.

Its production in Nigeria is constrained by quality and economies of scale. Nigeria has the potential of increasing its production by 82% to 1mn tonnes.
