The Commission has identified a number of challenges associated with
identity management in the Nigerian Capital Market.
As part of its efforts to address these challenges, the Commission has developed a standardized Investor's Data and Consent Form to be adopted by all CMOs in collecting and updating investors' data. The Form will also enable CMOs to obtain consent of investors for implementing capital market initiatives targeted at improving overall experience and participation in the capital market.
In view of the above, the Commission hereby exposes
the Investor's Data and Consent
Form and requests that comments be sent to idmanagement@sec.gov.ng not later than
three (3) weeks from the date of this circular.
