An Investment Opportunity in the April 2018 FGN Savings Bond Offer

We are pleased to present to you an investment opportunity in the Federal Government of Nigeria Savings Bond (FGNSB). 

The April 2018 offer opens
Monday, 09 April, 2018 and will close on Friday, 13 April, 2018. 

The details of the investment opportunity are stated below:

Type of Investment

Fixed income investment where capital and interest are guaranteed



2 years  and  3 years

Interest Rate

Interest rate on the 2 years FGNSB is 10.75% while the interest rate on the 3 years FGNSB is 11.75%. Interest income is tax exempt.

Interest Payment

The interest will be paid quarterly in arrears while the principal will be paid at maturity together with the last interest payment.


Bond holders will have their holdings credited into their CSCS account

Settlement Date

Transaction day plus three days (T+3)

Subscription Amount

Minimum of N5,000 plus multiples of N1,000 and maximum of N50,000,000

Listing Status

The FGNSB will be listed and it is tradable on The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE)

Coupon Payment Date

18 July, 18 October, 18 January, 18 April.

1. Please print and carefully complete the FGNSB application form. A copy of the application form is attached to this email.

2. Issue a cheque/draft or transfer the amount you intend to invest into the broker’s bank account:
