Proshare CEO Receives Award from the Association of Northern Nigerian Students

The Association of Northern Nigerian Students (ANNS) on September 26, 2017, conferred on Mr. Olufemi Awoyemi, MD/CEO, Proshare Nigeria Limited, the Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Platinum Excellence/Leadership Award and Investiture to (ANNS) Hall of Fame as Life Member as an “Icon of Societal Development”.

Mrs. Grace Adejare-Ajuwon, Head, Business & Market, receiving the award on behalf of the Managing Director, thanked the Association of Northern Nigerian Students (ANNS) for their magnanimity and reaffirmed the commitment of Proshare Nigeria Limited to continue to remain the number one financial hub in Nigeria. As a token of appreciation, she offered the representatives of the association four free subscription packages to TheAnalyst Platform - Proshare Markets Data Hub.

In his opening speech, Comrade Aminu Jabi, the National President, Association of Northern Nigerian Students (ANNS) said that the prestigious award was presented to Mr. Olufemi Awoyemi for his uncompromising dedication to financial inclusion, as well as to the growth and development of the Nigerian economy. He stated that following the initial nomination, the decision to confer the award on the CEO was unanimous based on his antecedents as a beacon of hope and an advocate for societal development.

Founded in the year 2003, the Association of Northern Nigerian Students is a non-governmental organization registered under the influence of the 19 Northern states. It has a membership capacity of more than 21.1 million students and is the second largest student movement in Nigeria after the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

Other recipients who have previously been conferred with the award for excellence include: Governor of Kastina State - Aminu Bello Musa, Emir of Gombe - HRH Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar, Oba of Abeokuta - Oba Dr. Adedapo Adewale, Vice Chancellor University of Ilorin - Prof Abdul Sani, Major Gen Oyebaje, Chief of Army Staff - Lt Tukur Buratai, to mention a few.
