Afribank gets four new Executive Directors

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has appointed four new Executives for Afribank Nigeria Plc, one of the banks it took over recently, an online statement from the bank’s Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Moshood Isamotu, disclosed on Tuesday.

The statement explained that the new directors and the Chief Executives will assist to implement the strategies already mapped out to reposition the Bank.

It said, “The new Executive Directors are: Mr. Stephen Adaji, Executive Director- OPS & IT, Human Capital Management and Corporate Support; Mrs. Joke Giwa, Executive Director - Retail, Commercial and Corporate Banking; Mr. Nnamdi Christopher Anammah, Executive Director- Institutional Banking; and Mr. Isaac Kamaru Alofoje, Executive Director, Risk Management, Strategy, Remedial & Control.

“The new Executive Directors, who are tested technocrats, will bring to bear their diverse experiences in banking, management and finance among others and will provide executive direction to the bank’s expansion and industry leadership quest.”

It added that the bank’s Group Managing Director/CEO of Afribank, Mr. Nebolisa  Arah, had explained that with the  appointment of the Executive Directors, the implementation of the broad  strategy to return the bank to profitability, stability, confidence restoration and improved performance will receive speedy implementation.
