-launches multi-million dollar project in Edo project

Construction Giants Costain West Africa Plc, (Costain WA) has reassured its stakeholders on the capability of the company towards opening new opportunities in the construction sector of the Nigerian economy. Phil Wharton, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the company affirmed this in a statement made available to Proshare NI in Lagos Nigeria.

The company recently launched a new multi-million dollar project estimated to be over N1.5 billion in Edo State to construct the Watch Tower Society of Jehovah Witnesses branch expansion in Auchi, Edo State. “This is a part of the construction company’s multiple planned projects� Wharton said.

“This magnificent project has been tagged “P60� and is the highest the company has ever had. The Watch Tower Society of Jehovah’s Witnesses is an exceptional and historic project in the history of Costain WA� he affirmed.

Wharton further affirmed that Costain WA is more excited because Project “P60� coincides with the company’s 60th anniversary.

“And as we celebrate our 60^th year in existence, what better way to mark it than with a project of such magnanimous proportions� he said.

The Edo project would begin in the next 20 weeks and is expected to be complete in the next 29 months.

This is coming on the heels of the company’s effort to keep to its promise to stakeholders in its profit forecast for the periods ending March 31 2009 and 2010; were the company projects to pay a dividend of 0.65 Kobo and N1.50 Kobo respectively in the projected period.
