Borno State Accountant General Alhaji Tijjani Umara has said that Afribank has excelled in all performance indeces and in the provision of banking services not only in BornoState but also throughout the Nation.

Speaking in Maiduguri on the occasion of Afribank Investors Forum at the Afribank main branch premises organised as part of activities to inform the investing public of Afribank =N= 100 billion public offer of shares,Alhaji Umara congratulated the Bank on its steady growth in the banking sector and the choice of a befitting Logo for the public offer which is a picture of a man walking tall.He advised the Bank to maintain its name and Logo as an evidence of its credibility, efficiency, reliability and buoyancy.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Bank’s Regional Manager Yola, Alhaji Ibrahim Alhasan said that the holistic approach to growing the Bank according to him has compelled it to access the capital market for funds with a view to positioning it for greater roles in the banking industry.

The Bank, he said, is raising the sum of N100 billion from the capital market through a public offer, in which a total of 4 billion shares will be offered to the general public for subscription at the rate of N25.00.  He assured investors that there would be good earnings through capital appreciation, good dividend and bonuses.

The Public Offer team was also at Bama where the Emir Alhaji Kyari Umar Ibn Elkanemi assured them of his people’s patronage, saying that Afribank is the only Bank serving the entire Dikwa Emirate, in terms of banking services.
