Conoil Plc has appointed an acting Managing Director, Mr. Sanjay Mathur, in a major change in its management. He takes over from Mr. Adesina Tychus with immediate effect.
A statement from the company on Saturday explained that the appointment is part of moves by the companyÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¬ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¾Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢s board of directors to refocus the organisation and give it a new direction in line with the emerging challenges in the downstream oil sector.
Before his appointment, Mathur was the General Manager, Lubricants Business, a position, which saddled him with the responsibility of managing the production and sales of the companyÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¬ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¾Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢s brands of engine oils.
Mathur, a seasoned professional with over 20 yearsÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¬ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¾Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢ experience in the petroleum industry, had served in various capacities in ExxonMobil Lubricants Limited, India where he rose to a top management position before joining Conoil. He had earlier worked in Esso Petroleum India Limited and the Indian Oil Corporation Limited where he served in different management capacities.
The new Conoil boss is an alumnus of the Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur University, India, where he obtained Bachelor of Science in Petrochemical Technology.- Punch
