Costain (West Africa) Plc has notified The Exchange of the appointment of Mr. Kunnath Ananthan Sivasankaran with effect from July 26th, 2012.

Sivasankaran is an astute professional with 25 years of rich experience and expert in Financial Operations, Corporate/Secretarial and Administration. He is involved in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and project cost analysis, fund management, working capital management and investments.

He is a national of India and graduated with B.Com from University of Calicut, Kerala. He is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India as well as member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is also a member of both, Indian Institute of Bankers and the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India. Between 1985 and June 1991, he was the Company Secretary of Catholic Syrian Bank, Trichur.


He became the Chief Executive Officer of Cochin Stock Exchange, Ernakulam (June 1991 - October 1992). He moved to Selvel Media Services Ltd, New Delhi/Kolkata as the Finance Manager & Company Secretary. Between March 2001 and July 2002, he became the Group Finance Manager of Al Nahdha Al Omaniah Co. LLC, Muscat (Construction, Trading, Aluminium Fabrication, Real Estate, Hiring/Servicing of Heavy Equipments, etc. – group).

He was the former Group Finance Manager & Chief Internal Auditor of Petrocity Enterprises Ltd., Kenya and also the Chief Financial Officer of Ghazanfar Bank, Kabul. His role among others is preparation and submission of various types of Reports (monthly/quarterly to Central Bank of Afghanisatan.

Mr. Sivasankaran is married with two children.
