Introducing FDC’s TRAVELNOMIKS - 1ST EDITION

Tuesday, March 06, 2012 7:56 PM / FDC
With spring around the corner and the peak season for international air travel beginning, FDC, Nigeria ’s leading econometrics firm is writing to inform you of a new publication that it is both immensely proud and excited to share with you. It’s called Travelnomiks and it represents a brand new type of publication not only for the company, but also for the Nigerian market.
Travelnomiks is a quarterly journal that will inform you how to get more for less in your travel, vacation and holiday planning. It is a magazine that is written with you in mind.
It is for people who have a base in Nigeria but who interact with the broader world through travel, the media or social networks. It therefore aims to bring you closer to that global community physically and informatively through providing you with two types of information.
Firstly, the publication wishes to provide its readership with information which will not only make the process of travel more economical but more enjoyable.
For example, do you know that a flight from Lagos to Atlanta or New York could be as much as 45% less, for the same class of travel? This could mean that you are saving as much as NGN 250,000 on a single trip. The how to, to do this- among many other things- will be found within the pages of Travelnomiks.
Secondly, the publication will inform you on how these day-to-day bread and butter decisions are influenced by the broad picture of economic and political events within the Nigerian aviation industry.
This is a publication that will therefore explain to you how to get to New York for the cheapest fare, while avoiding the pitfalls of hidden taxes whilst at the same time explaining the economics behind these hidden costs and surcharges.
Travelnomiks is for the high flying Nigerian who is, or wants to be, in the know. It is for you and we hope you enjoy reading it as much as we have enjoyed putting it together.
