The table above indicates that between 2008 and 2010:
the Northern region with 53% of the total population shared 40.4% of the revenue;
the Southern region with 15% of the total population shared 35.7% of the revenue;
the Eastern region with 12% of the total population shared 9.2% of the revenue; and
the Western region with 20% of the population got 14.6% of the revenue.
This distribution excludes an additional 13% derivation accrued to some states in the oil producing region. The distribution of the appropriated revenue is as follows:


Combining the FAAC Revenue with the 13% Derivation between 2008 and 2010 reveals that:
the Northern region with 53% of the total population shared 34.2% of total sum;
the Southern region with 15% of the total population shared 44.3% of total sum;
the Eastern region with 12% of the total population shared 8.3% of total sum; and
the Western region with 20% of the population got 13.2% of total sum.
