The Company notified The Exchange that in its effort to restructure and repositioned the company for the future, it has reconstituted its Board of directors. In that light, Messrs. Nosike Agokei, Chidozie Bethram Agbapu and Kamarudeen Kareem Oladosu were appointed to the Board of MTI Plc., effective January 24, 2012.
Dr. Agokei (appointed as the Managing Director) is a professional manager with extensive administrative, legal and compliance experience. He holds both B.Sc. and Master’s degree from University of Ibadan and Enugu State University of Science and Technology. A lawyer, and a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria and Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, Agokei was at different times, Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, Group Executive Director and Senior Executive/Legal Adviser of John Holt Plc. He is a former President and Chairman of Council, Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria.
Agokei is a professional manager with extensive administrative, legal, compliance and operating management expert and more than 26 years of working experience.
Chidozie holds both B.Sc. and Master’s degree from University of Nigeria Nsukka and University of Lagos. He is member of Institutes of Management, Stockbrokers and Certified Pension of Nigeria. Until his appointment as Non-Executive Director with MTI Plc., he was the Co-promoter and Managing Director of Emerging Capital Limited. He had also worked as Chief Dealer/Analyst of Equator Finance & Securities Limited. He is currently on the Board of many companies among them is Fidelity Bank Plc., as Audit Committee Member.
Oladosu (Non-Executive Director) holds an HND in Accounting from Polytechnic Ibadan and MBA from Bayero University, Kano. He is a member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants, Taxation, Stockbrokers and Certified Pension of Nigeria.
