Oceanic Bank Ltd. on Tuesday said it would fully integrate its customers with Ecobank Nigeria in the first quarter of 2012.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mr. John Aboh, Managing Director of Oceanic Bank and Mr. Jibril Aku, Managing Director, Ecobank Nigeria.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quotes the statement as saying that the full integration would allow customers to conduct teller transactions at over 230 locations of Ecobank Nigeria.
The statement said that customers would be allowed to use their Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards at Ecobank machines with no extra transaction charge.
It said that all banking services like credit facility, standing orders, collection arrangements and international trade would be maintained subject to the usual terms and conditions.
The statement reiterated that Oceanic Bank and its subsidiaries were now part of Ecobank Group following the completion of the acquisition.
The Oceanic bank promised to improve on the management of its customers’ accounts and ensure superior service delivery.
NAN recalls that the Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) in October completed 100 per cent acquisition of Oceanic Bank.
