UBA Resumes Operations in Cote d' Ivoire.

United Bank for Africa (UBA), the pan African banking group has announced the reopening of its Cote d’ Ivoire operations effective April 28, 2011 following the return of normalcy in the world’s largest cocoa producer.
UBA in the wake of hostilities in the Cote d’Ivoire resulting from the political crisis announced a temporary suspension of operations in the interest of the safety of staff, customers and properties.
 Speaking on the development, Gabriel Edgal, CEO UBA West African Region said full banking operations resumed on Thursday , April 28, 2011 in all UBA branches across Cote d’ Ivoire , noting that customers in that country can now access the bank’s array of products and services .
 UBA commenced operations in the French speaking West African country of Cote d’ Ivoire in June 2008 in furtherance of its agenda of achieving leadership in the financial services sector in Africa as part of its 3 tier strategic intent.
