Nigerian Breweries' half year pretax profit falls

Nigerian Breweries, a unit of Dutch brewer Heineken , said on Thursday its half year pre-tax profit dropped 5.5 percent to 23.27 billion naira ($155 million) from a year ago.
Gross earnings, however, rose to 88.44 billion naira in the period, from 82.69 billion naira a year ago, the Heineken unit said in a filing to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
