ZENITH BANK PLC - Investors Relations

After posting my comment below, Zenith Registrar credited my CSCS account with 2,276 shares. Before Zenith declared 1 for 4 on 20/04/2010, I already have 109,285 shares (made up of 60,107 in my CSCS account, 2007=bonus 12,750 and 2009-bonus is 36,428 shares both bonuses are still with Zenith registrar. How then do they come up crediting my account with 2,276 shares? If 109,285 divided by 4 should be 27,321 shares and not 2,276.Please help me o.

IBTC bought Zenith shares for me. When I withdrew my portfolio from IBTC, IBTC sent you a letter dated 02 December 2009, instructing you to pay my dividend to Nigerian International Securities Limited and my bounses to be credited to cscs a/c No.50525565 clearing house No. C4663325J. Also bonuses declared August 2007 which is 12,750 and June 2009 which is 36,428 are still with you together with 2010 both dividend and bonuses. Also the dividend declared by Dangote Sugar (of which you are Registrar) July 17, 2009 of N21,432 and the one declared 2010 are still not paid.I have written letters to you, and have given letters of authority to Nigerian Inaternational Securities Representative and have filled all your required papers. Still you have not compilied with the IBTC instruction.What do you want?Christianah O. Olarewaju (Mrs)securities Ltd. representative and and signed all your required forms. I bought Zenith Mutual Fund worth of =N=100,000.00 which I paid into Zenith Bank Plc, Utako, Abuja Branch A/C No. 'MUTUAL FUND" with Deposit Slip No. 2015119 dated 04/06/2008. It is very disgusting that uptill now, almost 2 years ago, I have not received any information/correspondence concerning my investment into the bank. I am delighted to read what people are posting here. Some of us do know how to fight for our rights. Keep up the fight and dont ever be discouraged. You will get results follow the steps others are taking. It might take long but we shall get there. I got my result once, after 3 years of struggle. Some unscrupulous broker(name witheld) sold some of my Guinness shares without my knowledge. I got them back thanks to the SEC and others. DO NOT GIVE UP BROTHERS AND SISTERS. THE UNCLAIMED DIVIDEND FUNDS RUNS IN BILLIONS OF NAIRA. SOME OF THE BENEFICIARIES ARE GONE.

When I was in Yola in 2008 I bought shares of the bank up to 5,100 units and was given only 1,236 units only. Now I live in Port Harcout when I went to the Zenith branch in Rumuibekwe, I was directed to go to the main office of Zenith Registrar in town. I went and I was given a form to fill for my return money be processed. I filled the form on the 8th January 2010 and was told to come back to check if my money is ready in 6 weeks time. Before the 6 weeks I was in Yola and I complain to the to the Yola branch where I bought the shares they also gave me another form to fill with a letter stating that I now live in Port Harcourt, so that if the send the application, the money will be posted to any Zenith bank close to me in Port, of which I chose Rumuibekwe branch. Since then, I have been going between the Zenith main registrar office in Port and the Rumuibekwe branch almost every two weeks. Every time I go I get the same message that there is no response from Lagos. I really don't know what to do again and I am not in Yola to approach the people who transacted the business for me. In fact the Portharcourt office is even tired of seeing me and do not know what to do with me. WHAT WILL I DO? PLS HELP ME OUT.

Zenith Bank silence and the failure to credit the bonus declared in 2009 is an indication that that unethical practice is going on . Jim Ovia and the board of directors should state to investors if their cscs accounts have not been credited with the 2009 bonus . Zenith registrars need to be investigated . The recent Maduff scam and Goldman Sach scandal may be in the making in Zenith Bank . It is scandalous that the investors money invested in IT in Zenith registrars and the fee they charge the Bank is another oceanic retail scam to be uncovered . Zenith Bank is a public company and its leaders must be accountable to investors . This is to place the Bank management on notice that except this misnomal is corrected , We the affected shareholders will petition the regulatory agencies , EFCC , ICPC , NSE and CBN to carry out indepedent investigations on the 2009 bonus . It is bad corporate governance for the directors of Zenith Bank and Zenith Registrars to continue to draw salaries when they clearly fail in performance .ARE THE BOOKS OF ZENITH BANK COOKED , HAVE THE BONUS FOUND THEIR WAY INTO PRIVATE PLACEMENT?, HAVE THE BONUS BEEN SOLD?. i would like to say that zenith bank is messing up withthe issue of share certificates and bonuses. since the rights issue, i am yet to receive any certificate let alone dividends. It is frustrating hen one has to write severally without getting a reply.

I have to share my impression of the cscs account we were made to open. I thought it was going to solve the problem we share holders have been facing with regards to dividend warrants share certificates and all worth not. How was I ever wrong. I found out it is not designed to help us the poor share holders at all. If anything, it was meant to milk us dry each time we trade. I paid for internet access to monitor my account. I never heard from anybody. They just chop chop my money.

The 1 for 2 bonus has not been lodged into clients accounts .i beleive is a strategy to denied clients right for sales or what so ever pls lets play the game by the rule.

Firstly, I would like to commend the management of Zenith Bank on a job well done so far. However, I would appreciate some info. on the e-dividend. We were told we had to opt for that form of payment sometime last year. How do we know the dividend has been paid? Will we get email or text msg alerts? Good result for investors in 2009, keep it up . Bonus not credited to investors cscs accounts months after declaration makes zenith bank look like a fraudulent organisation inspite of its huge investment in IT . 1for 2 bonus and this 1 for 4 bonus should be credited directly to investors CSCS account . zenith bank and zenith registrars should keep investors confidence by timely and effective release of dividends and bonus . If the registrar and staff are innefective , get effective staff . borrow a leave from GTB registrars

This is to reiterate that we, the shareholders have not further been kept abreast with your operations since you posted sept 09 earnings. While I commend the management for its ranking among the giant banks, this stride is yet to be reflected in dividends paid. It is inexplicable that despite the harsh economic conditions endured in 2009 coupled with the bank's unusually long financial year(15months) Zenith bank plc is yet to declare dividends for 2009. Zenith bank of nigeria is yet to declare dividends for 2009 inspite of its extended financial year of 15months(sept.2008 to dec.2009). Top ranking bank like zenith such as First bank operated under the same economic condition and had with 12months of its financial year paid bonus/dividends of £1.35 to the shareholders. Zenith bank, your extended financial year had since ended by dec.31,2009, and we implore your management to live up to its expected reputation by declaring dividends to shareholders for 2009. Without mixing words, i must say Zenith Bank stands out in their operations as regards banking. I commend the management. On our part as shareholders. I will strongly advise zenith Registrars to handle shareholder entitlements speedily so that we can receive our benefits from the bank and utilize them as timely as possible.

With all due respect to the management of this establishment, i'll like to comment on the customer care unit of Ekpoma branch. Customers should be treated with all humility and respect and not the other way round. I bought 1,000 units of Zenith Bank offer in 2007, I got my certificate which I lodge with my broker Forte Asset Mgt Ltd for verification. My investigation revealed that my broker lodged it with Zenith regsitrar since May this yr. Zenith registrar requested for my bankers confirmation of signature which I gave to them up till now it has not been credited to my CSCS accoun. Moreover, the N1.70k dividend declared and 1 for 2 bonus declared has not been recieved by me. Please help me out.

My company CHIMNAZA NIG LTD is a shareholder in Zenith Bank Plc with shareholder account number 11222. We received our dividend warrant no. 9560 dated 5/12/2008 sometime in June 2009 and cannot present the cheque to the bank because it was deemed to have expired.
